ABOUT ME

Andrew Heasman - Authr

Andrew Heasman was born in London, and always had the travel-bug. Having joined the Royal Navy at the age of 20, he travelled the world, rising through the ranks to become a Petty Officer aboard the aircraft carrier, HMS Invincible. His next career path saw him become a police officer in rural Lincolnshire, patrolling the towns and flatlands of the county. Finally, he gave it all up to become a SCUBA diving instructor, following the sun as he worked his way around the globe. Currently living by the sea in East Yorkshire with his wife and two daughters, he has decided to put his experiences down in writing.

Andrew Heasman never intended to become a writer, it happened almost by accident. As a diving instructor, he was often asked, "How did you come to be living-the-dream in some tropical location?" When he recounted excerpts of his adventures, they would say, "You've got to write a book about all of that." Eventually, "The Memoir Series" was born. The first book, "Beyond the Waves," details his life travelling the world as a member of Her Majesty's Royal Navy. The second in the series tells of his adventures as a police officer in Lincolnshire, and book three tells of his under-sea exploits as a jobbing SCUBA instructor, travelling the world.

"The Memoir Series" having been completed, Andrew Heasman turned his attention to the world of fiction writing - Crime/Fiction, specifically. Each book is a standalone story with crime as a recurring theme linking them together. Each story is based on a true-life event from his many careers - add a touch of imagination and answer a few "what if..." questions, and a crime thriller is born. All books are included in "The Crime Collection" series of books.
